Jordan (alUrdunn), officially the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, is an Arab country in southwest Asia spanning the southern part of the Syrian Desert down to the Gulf of Aqaba. The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is a constitutional monarchy with representative government. The official language in Jordan is Arabic as motherlanguage, but English is widely used as second and business language. Jordan is a land steeped in history. It has been home to some of Humankind’s earliest settlements and villages; harbouring hidden relics from the world’s great civilizations.
